Meet the team behind this journey

As a Benefits Specialist at DeepL, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing and managing our employee benefits programs. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that our benefits offering is competitive, compliant and aligned with our overall business strategy. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a passion for improving employee experience.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and administer employee benefit programmes, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives and other benefits

  • Conduct regular benchmarking and market research to ensure our benefits offerings remain competitive and meet the needs of our diverse workforce

  • Develop a comprehensive 2-3 year strategic plan for benefits, aligning with organisational goals and financial forecasts

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including People, Finance, Legal and external providers, to develop and implement benefits policies and procedures

  • Manage relationships with benefits providers, negotiate contracts and oversee the annual renewal process to optimise cost and value

  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefit options, eligibility and enrolment processes

  • Analyse data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of our benefits programmes and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Develop and deliver employee communication and education materials related to benefits, including FAQs and workshops

  • Stay on top of industry trends, best practices and legislative changes related to employee benefits and proactively recommend updates or enhancements to our programmes

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on benefits issues and provide guidance to People Partners and other stakeholders as needed

Qualities we look for

  • Have previous benefits experience in a global firm

  • Have knowledge of external suppliers in this space

  • Be confident in delivery, as well as capable of overseeing delivery of programmes via external providers

  • Have experience of program design, with the ability to conduct needs analysis to inform strategy

  • Possess excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
