What will you be doing at DeepL?

DeepL is looking for an experienced Marketing Operations Analyst to support our small but growing commercial teams (primarily Marketing, but also Sales and Support). You’ll serve as an operations partner to senior leadership, managers, and the team. You will develop reports for the various revenue teams, establish fixed processes, and continuously improve our reporting engine. This role will enable DeepL to scale global revenue across our self-service acquisition funnel and assisted-sales motions. As an early team member, this is a unique opportunity to define commercial operations processes from the ground up.


Your responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our markets and customers, and our lead management processes, and how to evolve these as we grow
  • Enable and empower our Marketing team to succeed through improved strategy, process, analytics, and tools
  • Compile and analyze data from various sources and systems to inform how to streamline and automate processes
  • Report on marketing KPIs like leads, conversion rates, website traffic and social media engagement
  • Analyze sales funnels and customer intent
  • Analyze, report, and present results and learnings of active campaigns, and suggest optimizations and measure ROI of online advertising campaigns
  • Research and implement marketing tools to support our promotional projects (automation software, social media scheduling etc.)
  • Act as a critical cross-functional liaison between Revenue Operations and other departments like Finance and Business Operations
  • Lead one-off analytics projects as needed to gain insight into the business
  • Help set goals for each of our commercial teams (Marketing, Support, Sales) and ensure accurate forecasting
  • Guide the business in understanding how Marketing and Sales spend, and outcomes accurately drive impact and return on investment via accurate reporting & forecasting

About you

  • 2.5+ years experience as Marketing Analyst preferably in high volume SaaS with in-depth performance marketing experience
  • Experience working in a complex environment with multiple sources of customer data to integrate systems and empower Sales, Marketing, and Support with useful information.
  • Exceptional analytical skills including ability to develop insights and draw conclusions beyond what is readily apparent.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team in a fast pace, rapid change environment with teams of varied size to achieve common goals.
  • Good SQL skills
  • Experience with at least one BI tool
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
