What will you be doing at DeepL?

The Corporate Communications Lead will play a critical role in driving DeepL’s global communications efforts. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, they will raise and protect DeepL’s public profile, ensuring consistent and effective communications across all channels. The right candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies at a global level and navigating crisis communications. They will excel in crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, demonstrate strong leadership, project management and writing skills, and possess a deep understanding of B2B and SaaS companies.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and drive DeepL’s corporate narrative and global strategy in partnership with Comms leadership.

  • Develop a comprehensive thought leadership program to showcase DeepL as a market leader and rising star of European tech.

  • Craft clear, compelling messaging to support business objectives and prepare company spokespeople for interviews and wider executive engagements.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including media, investors, analysts, industry influencers and internal teams to enhance DeepL's visibility and reputation.

  • Prepare for and manage communication responses to any crises or issues that may arise, safeguarding DeepL's reputation.

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including press releases, articles, speeches, and presentations that resonate with local audiences and support DeepL's strategic goals.

  • Uphold and strengthen the DeepL brand globally, partnering with the wider communications team to ensure consistency and overall alignment across various touchpoints.


Qualities we look for
  • 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in a world-class, high-growth B2B SaaS organisation.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Strong media relations and storytelling abilities.

  • Big picture thinker, able to translate business goals into effective communication strategies.

  • Practical and proactive attitude with a humble approach, comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • A genuine interest in technology, language and the DeepL mission.
