Meet the team behind this journey

We are looking for an Atlassian Administrator to join our IT Support Experience team on their mission to create a modern, scalable, secure, and reliable IT Operation that supports DeepL’s growth.

The IT Support Experience team collaborate with many teams in and out of the DevOps track. Jira is already the tool of choice for many teams at DeepL to map their work processes. As the dedicated point of contact for Atlassian, you will manage the various Jira products.


Your responsibilities

  • As an Atlassian Administrator, you will evaluate new features and communicate them to employees.
  • You will create documentation and training material for our employees (and potentially conduct these training sessions yourself)
  • To create new or modify existing projects/spaces, you work with the team to analyse requirements, propose options for implementation and implement them.
  • You manage user access and permissions on multiple levels.
  • You will develop best practices and help set up extensive monitoring to ensure the smooth functioning of the tools.
  • You are in close contact with our Automation team for all requests that exceed the internal capabilities of Jira/Confluence.

Qualities we look for

  • You know your way around Jira (Service Management, Work Management, Software) and Confluence as a Product Admin.
  • You have very good analytical skills that allow you to tackle complex challenges, sometimes in unconventional ways.
  • You have very good communication skills that allow you to translate fluently between functional requirements and technical implementation both ways.
  • You can write automations in Jira and Confluence and know the limits of these tools.
  • You have some experience with the APIs of Jira/Confluence.
  • Ideally, you have programming skills (Python, Bash etc.)
