What will you be doing at DeepL?

DeepL is growing - and in this phase we need your experience and holistic understanding of the optimisation and design of technological and business processes. You will work with a wide cross-section of departments, such as Finance, Product, R&D, Go-to-Market and Legal, to strategically drive business projects as well as people and culture topics. Your tasks range from project preparation and project takeovers to the implementation of new business processes. In addition, you’ll develop strategies, solve problems in a structured way, communicate confidently and contribute your strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial thinking.

Your responsibilities

• Cross-functional and cross-departmental work on business projects and programmes (independently and as part of a team)
• Joint strategy development in the CFO's staff team
• Project preparation in coordination with stakeholders across the business and their teams
• Recommendations for action and presentations for top management
• Project takeover, including communication, stakeholder and risk management as well as interim management
• Implementation of new business processes in collaboration with the various business units
• Analysis and optimization of existing processes in the structural and operational organization
• Make-or-buy decisions (selection and onboarding of partner companies)
• Definition, standardization, optimization and digitalization of end-to-end processes in various areas of the business

About you

• Master's degree, MBA, doctorate or comparable in Business Studies, Business Management or a related field
• Several years of practical and project experience (e.g. in top management consultancy, in a management board staff function or in the strategy department of companies) as well as intercultural understanding
• Experience in a tech, software or SaaS product environment
• Comprehensive business management knowledge, holistic understanding and experience in the optimization and design of business management processes
• Confident communication and negotiation skills in English, especially when presenting to senior leadership
• Solution- and consensus-oriented work/presentation style as well as strong analytical and conceptual skills and entrepreneurial thinking
• Structured problem solving and convincing presentation of "consulting results" and professional documentation (including Excel and PowerPoint skills)
